AC is such a big airline, that it's only normal that according to absolute numbers, it will have more complaints. It carries significantly more passengers than all the other carriers combined. On an equal footing, however (per 100 flights), we can clearly see that AC and TS are doing much better than everyone else.

Lynx has a fleet of 7 aircraft (probably less back in April 2022) and still manages to be worse than AC or TS. Go figure !

As much as we love to hate AC in this country, and particularly in Quebec, I will always book them (or TS) over anyone else. 

Don't pay too much attention to those skytrax awards. They're pretty meaningless anyway.

I am not surprised by those numbers. Sunwing having a really bad reputation.

I read that airlines pay to be ranked on Skytrax’s ratings. If true then for sure it is meaningless.

Nuance d'importance : vous êtes sur un sous-forum d'aviation qui fait partie d'un forum d'architecture où il n'est pas essentiel de connaître les codes IATA.

Je suis désolé de mon ignorance mais je croyais que ce forum était ouvert à tous! Je souligne que parfois les gens font des erreurs en écrivant, d'autres font des fautes de français et je suis sûr que certains font des fautes en écrivant en anglais. Certains utilisent des abréviations difficiles à décoder. Bon. Merci.

Like in any profession, there is an internal jargon that is almost incomprehensible to non-insiders. Sometimes it is abused as a means of demonstrating special knowledge, but more often I expect, it happens because it just comes naturally to those who converse daily on these issues.

When it happens, and I want to understand the issue, I can usually look up the term or an acronym, but, not always. Sometimes, these terms are not to be found in a Dictionary

So, I would ask that the Pros here be kind to us amateurs and try not to overindulge in your mystical language.

I think it’s similar to the JD Power “Initial Quality” surveys: people are so blinded by the love of their latest big-money acquisition that they overlook the product’s actual quirks, defects, and design flaws, and are compelled to give a glowing rating. This is even more true if people are under the belief that they got more for their money, like a lower price and cheaper APR financing on an American-brand car or SUV than they could get on an equivalent Asian- or European-brand vehicle. That’s why you will see GM and Ford products consistently ranked highly in the Power surveys.

Everything was a nightmare:
- their website f**ks up dates when rebooking;
- customer service can't do anything;
- waiting lines that make you nearly lose your flight in ZRH;
- LH personnel at Frankfurt that doesn't know basic travel IDs for Canada.
