La compagnie aérienne Air Canada relancera en octobre prochain une liaison entre Montréal et Lyon, desservant alors cinq villes en France.

A partir du 13 octobre 2023, la compagnie nationale canadienne proposera jusqu’à cinq vols par semaine entre sa base à Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau et l’aéroport de Lyon-Saint Exupéry, opérés en Airbus A330-300 pouvant accueillir 32 passagers en classe Affaires, 24 en Premium et 241 en Economie (297 sièges). Les départs de France sont programmés à 13h15 pour arriver à 15h30, les vols « retour » quittant le Canada à 20h50 pour se poser le lendemain à 10h15.

Air Canada sera en concurrence directe avec Air Transat (qui a annualisé la route) sur ce qui sera la cinquième liaison sans escale de la compagnie de Star Alliance au départ de la France métropolitaine. Elle viendra s’ajouter aux vols existants au départ de Paris-Charles de Gaulle à destination de Toronto et de Montréal, au départ de Nice vers Montréal, ainsi qu’à la nouvelle liaison entre Toulouse et Montréal qui sera inaugurée le 2 juin 2023 et qui sera assurée toute l’année.
