Sésame c'est une chaîne? Il y en a un qui a ouvert il y a quelques mois dans le Quartier des Spectacles. Je ne l'ai pas encore essayé.

Il y a aussi un nouveau Sesame au marché Atwater. Vraiment trop cher! 15$ pour une petite assiette de chow mein! Et j'ai pas vraiment aimé

The one in Old Montreal (on st-james) is decent at best, good for large groups. The one at Atwater has bad comments and yeah there's a new one diagonally across from PDA. Guess this will be the fourth location.

Six mois après l'arrivée dans Griffintown du magasin de meubles et d'articles de décoration West Elm, on apprend qu'un autre détaillant américain s'installera dans le quartier. Il s'agit de Winners.

 

 

La grande surface s'installera dans le District Griffin sur Peel, un projet à la fois domiciliaire (15 étages, 312 condos) et commercial (110 000 pi2).

 

 

On y trouvera aussi un supermarché Metro, une pharmacie Brunet, une succursale de la Société des alcools du Québec, les banques TD et Nationale, et un restaurant oriental appelé Sesame.

 

 

L'édifice de 140 millions de dollars est construit par Devimco Immobilier, en collaboration avec le Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ.

 

 

Les commerces ouvriront leurs portes en 2015. Les appartements - vendus à plus de 50% - seront prêts à l'automne 2015.

 

 

West Elm appartient à Williams-Sonoma, tandis que Winners fait partie du groupe TJX Companies.

Not ashamed to admit that I like shopping at Winners once in a while, they have good work pants and cheap underwear Nearby ETS students will definitely appreciate their selection.

 

Still, Winners seems a bit inappropriate for this project. It's a weird fit, but I welcome it nonetheless. Interesting commercial offer from devimco.

True, it's a bit weird to have a Winners there... since there's already one in place Montréal-Trust and another at Alexis-Nihon.

 

I like the Home section at Winners, I can always find cheap kitchen/bathroom accessories. and you can buy Le Creuset pots for really low prices.

 

For clothing, it's just painful to shop for, especially during lunch hour... I usually go there for my gym clothing.

I'm extremely happy to have purchased a condo at the other end of Griffintown instead! I prefer the more boutique restaurants and stores on Notre-Dame passed de la Montagne to the West. All those chains remove some charm of the neighborhood in the Wellington-Peel are of Griffintown in my opinion. The good thing for them is the proximity to old Montreal though

Je me demande si la chaine va rester seule ou d'autres grands magasins vont suivre le rythme. Je suis surpris aussi lol.
