  3. Natalie Finn Sat Feb 21, 1:59 am ET Los Angeles (E! Online) – It's not going to snag 11 Oscars, but The Dark Knight—Christian Bale and all—is nipping at Titanic's heels in the court of public opinion. The 2008 blockbuster has surpassed $1 billion at the worldwide box office, Warner Bros. announced late Friday. According to BoxOfficeMojo.com, the critically acclaimed Caped Crusader sequel—which actually could win eight Academy Awards on Sunday—is now in fourth place on the list of all-time box office grosses, behind only Titanic ($1.84 billion), The Lord of the Rings: The

    wisdom teeth

Today got all four out today. I hate this, almost 8 hours later it is still bleeding. From what I've heard bleeding can occur for a couple of days, honestly that is fucking BS. All I taste right now is my own blood, which I don't mind just sucks I wont be able to eat for a while. Best thing is protein shakes probably will kill me, if I have way to many of them. Also for me this stupid thing will make me lose more weight, even though I am 130 pounds (usually), and it takes forever for me to gain weight back. It took me 3-4 months to gain 10 pounds One thing I am trying to g
  5. The (mis)adventures of an Anglo in Montreal Petra Hendrickson Issue date: 4/9/08 Section: Opinion Montreal less than 48 hours ago, I thought I would use today's column as part anecdote, part travel advice and part opinion. The advice, although the most practical portion of this column by far, is the least fun to write about, so I'll dispense with it first. Make sure you tell your bank you're going abroad. Otherwise, their fraud department might put a block on your debit card after you use it to pay for a cab ride. This results in you having to apply for a new debit
  6. Beth Nauss: In Montreal on spring break, mom and daughter chill out In a blinding display of “what was she thinking?” brilliance, I went to Montreal for spring break. The first problem was that I went with my oldest daughter. I love my daughter. She is an excellent traveling companion. But no one with a body my age should ever try to keep up with someone who is more than a decade younger and actually runs for a hobby. The second problem was that it was in Canada. For anyone who hasn’t been there, Canada is the huge mass of ice between the United States and the North Pole
  7. Trailer 1st is Narco Cinema 2nd is Russia Parallel Cinema After that they have another one from North Korea, Iran, Japan and Lebanon (not up yet). Currently the video is not viewable in Canada, but April 30th it will be airing on IFC Canada (Bell ExpressVU - 330 + Videotron Illico - 128) this Friday 21h00-22h00. All I can say is the Russia Parallel Cinema is messed up! Between "Alco-Cinema and Necro-realism" its FUCKED up shit. As for Narco Cinema its pretty much you B-class type films but financed by the cartel (not all, but most) Here is a trailer from one of Yevgeniy Y
  8. :yikes: Procter & Gamble for the next two days is filming a commercial, inside and out of where I live. I can not wait to see the commercial. It is pretty funny. Outside my window I see this mezzanine type of thing. Guess this is decent, compared to having celebs use one of the units, once and a while when they are in Montreal filming.
  9. I'm really not sure where to post this, nor could I manage to find if a thread was written about this already. Mods please delete/move as required. This PDF dates back to August 2012 but was recently featured in the latest Ville-Marie newsletter. I just thou
  10. Looking for pictures of the Manhattan skyline on Google, one photo within the results page kind of well, stood out... I clicked on it, and followed on to see what website this particular image had came from. The rest of what I saw sort of made me smile. You be the judge. The Heart of New York City Oh, what a pretty town ...
  11. http://www.geosimphilly.com/index.aspx The city planning option is pretty cool.

    Cop cars!

Damn this Dodge Challenger cop car is pretty bad ass! It would be really cool if the Montreal police got a couple of these! We ought to replace our fleet of minivans (yuck), with Dodge Chargers! In fact, Montreal is the only police force that I know of that uses minivans!
  13. SPG.tv Pretty cool site. There is a small video on the W Montreal.
  14. It is a pretty impressive rail system that they are trying to build.
  15. The Economist Total debt as % GDP 1. Japan @ 196.3% 2. Greece @ 128.5% 3. Italy @ 118.2% Canada pretty high on the list @ 82.3% The lowest total debt is Russia. Its under 9-10%.
  16. Are there any authentic German pubs or eateries in Montreal? I'm aware that there was the Vieux-Munich which closed quite a while ago. Not sure if there is anywhere else? I know there was a German place on Sherbrooke in NDG called Bratwurst that was pretty good. I used to like their sauerkraut in particular. It has since become a Middle-Eastern establishment. Danke sehr!
  17. Have any of you seen the previews for this new show on ABC. Its a remake of the popular V tv show from the early 80's. It looks pretty fvcking awesome!! Go to the ABC website, and you can watch a 10 minute preview trailer. Looks good! http://abc.go.com/shows/v
  18. I saw this fly over Montreal yesterday afternoon, I was in awe! Sorry for no actual photo from yesterday it's not every day you see a surveillance plane over the city
  19. If anyone else is as obsessed with sidewalks as I am, you may enjoy this map I've made of good quality and renovated sidewalks in Montreal. Pretty much anything different from the typical ugly concrete sidewalks makes the cut. Some of them are still under construction/renovation. I can actually draw most of these from memory, but I still had to look some of them up. I'm sure I missed some, so feedback is welcome! Montreal - Sidewalks
  20. I'm pretty sure we saw this coming. Very sad for the ladies and gents who will lose a job tho. Not enough room in Canada for as many vacation players as there are.
