  1. Not the best pic (the car was going too fast), but here you go. There's nothing on the lot that says it's a Samcon project.
  2. I think they postponed it to concentrate sales on the Metropolis. I remember that the same week they postponed the MUZ they took down the Metropolis price list from the website....my theory is that since sales were low they decided to lower the prices and took out the price list from the website so that people that had already bought a condo wouldn't know. But who knows really.
  3. They started digging today.
  4. This project is getting relaunched on March 16th.
  5. I think the location is amazing and perfect for what I need, but I bought a condo with Trigone a few years ago and it was a nightmare from start to finish. I never even lived in it and sold it right away, that's how much I hated dealing with them. I'm really conflicted right now.
  6. It's under "futurs projets" now when it used to be in under "chercher votre condo" right next to the Metropol, that's why I didn't see it. Thanks!
  7. This is weird because I got an email last month saying that this project had been postponed (read cancelled) and it's actually no longer on the Samcon website, yet like MtlMan said they took down what was on the lot this past week.
  8. Ouais, ça aurait été beaucoup plus beau en gris-noir. Dommage. C'est comment vivre au Square-Cartier? Je travaille dans le quartier et me cherche un condo dans le coin depuis quelques temps.
  9. Speaking of well known builders, anyone know anything about the Central beside the Sofia? I'm thinking of buying a condo there, but I can't really find anything about the builder (Acmon?) and whether it's a good project or not. So if anyone knows anything about the Central please share. And to stay on topic, I too thought that Cartierville was a reputable builder.... Also, I find it weird that even though they're having trouble selling their units, they still raised the prices. I've been looking for a condo in the area for awhile now and was astounded to find out how much the prices had increased at the Sofia compared to last year.
  10. Moi ce que je ne suis plus capable c'est les cuisines style laboratoire. Je trouve que c'est tellement d'espace perdu. Au moins avec un U shape t'as un peu plus de comptoir. The ideal is really a kitchen island IMO, but they are so rare in new developments. I went to visit the sale's office today. The prices range from 272,000 for a small studio on the 2nd floor to 1.5millions for a penthouse, if I recall correctly. Parking is 50,000 extra before taxes. I was really looking forward to maybe buying something but there's not much for under 300K, and the price for the interior parking is just too much for my poor wallet.
  11. I saw that today and proceeded to LMAO. I guess whoever wrote that thinks the building is going to be too tall.
  12. Personally I wouldn't buy from them. I bought a condo with them 2 years ago...and it was problem after problem. The move-in date was pushed back 3 times (and each time with only 1-2 weeks of notice, good thing I wasn't renting or I would have been out in the streets). Then when we did the inspection I found A LOT of cosmetic damage and things still not finished.....a month later when I moved in NOTHING had been done, even though everything should have been repaired before moving in. After that it was basically hell, I kept having to call them over and over again for the repairs, take DAYS off from work to let the worker in...but even then it was like one step forward, two steps back i.e the scratches and holes (yes holes in my floors and even shower) were still there. It took about 5 months before 50% of the repairs were done, then I gave up since I was fed up in having to deal with them. It was just cosmetic damage so I just learned to live with it. sanity>unscratched floors. Then my walls started to crack (which is normal due to the humidity escaping), but they refused to repair it, and I'm talking huge ceiling to floor cracks. Then they billed us 1500$ for snow removal, but NO one ever came to remove said snow. And they've actually still not done with the landscaping or the finishings in the hallway (which they promised would be done in April-May....it's September and we're still waiting). I will never buy anything from them again.
