  1. Phase 2 looks completely insane. That will be the icing on the cake to the magnificent area.
  2. I had initially placed a down payment for this place. But had to back out at the last moment because it was too small for me. I did not like the narrow 11'3" foot wide room. The 15 foot ceiling was nice but the room was much too narrow. I would love to see this place when it is completed and see what I have missed out on.
  3. Man, I had wanted that place so bad. They told me that the current price is now $325 000. But all of them sold out anyways. Now realizing that it is directly under a bridge. I am sort of glad that I missed out. But aside from that, I expect the build to be pretty nice judging from their previous projects. Does anybody have photos of the interior concept?
  4. This building really adds value to the area. A great addition to the QuarterSpectacles. For the moment they get front row seats to the outdoor concerts! Lots of envy.
  5. The sales office is very busy these days. Dropped by today. They are finishing up the back with a red facade. The lobby is nicely coming along as well. Still the best priced lofts in the city. There will be a huge marketing campaign to begin in the early weeks of March. Personally, I cannot wait for the front Cinema type sign to be completed.
  6. Hmm, when do you think that the the pre-sales for phase II to begin- fall 2010? Do you know any details about phase 2? I am assuming that these condos will no longer be 11 foot concrete lofts, but more the traditional style.
  7. I wished that I had jumped on this earlier. There was a nice 1100 ft condo with the 2nd mezzinine that I had really liked. Too bad it's taken. However, the neighborhood is still a bit rough. Want to hear some crazy superstition. According to Asian superstition, it is incredibly bad luck to live in a house that is on a three way street. Le Logge is located exactly on that corner Fork in the Road street of Beaubien and Saint Laurent.
  8. Here is the building at Night. I apologize, I didn't have a tri-pod and so the shutter speed was incredibly slow. I held it as stable as humanly possible- still there is blur from slow shutter speed.
  9. I think that the pricing is very good. I have been searching for over 3 months, including possiblies of used properties. I've called around at the lofts and projects in the immediate area of Quartier des specatacles. They were asking for $300 thousand for a 720 sq ft on average (taxes included). I was able to get a 920 sq.ft at LdA with 11 foot concrete ceilings for $270K on the 4th floor. A few other units of 920-977 sq ft on the 2nd and 3rd are going for $256 thousand to $270 thousand- taxes included. The prices seem to be very fair. I had tried to go with the other loft projects, but the pricing there is generally about $40-50 thousand more for the same size. I find that this is generally the case of pricing with the lofts around the area. Sorry, but I cannot be locked up in something that is 650 sq foot. That to me, is essentially a cage. Monctezuma, you are right, the area immediate to the east on saint laurent needs to be more developed and hip. Maybe they can clean this up in about 2-3 years time.
  10. The Climate Carbon Credit exchange is a complete Scam. Perpetrated by Al Gore, Obama and the Goldman Sachs banking syndicate.
  11. I had brought it up because I just had placed a down payment for a condo here. I am supposed to move in February / March Because some of the bottom units have not been completed yet. The condo is roughly 36% -40% sold. I am assuming that the sales are going a bit slow due to it's Mafia past and since the new owners are also from Italy and that it is difficult to break from this past stereotype. I was told that the entire building / terrace and swimming pool will be completed before the Summer 2010. What had me attracted to this area was not only the location but also the fact that no other new buildings will be developed in front of it to obscure it's view from the Opera center (unlike some other current projects in the QdesS). It's only immediate surroundings to the shows will be a park. And Phase II possibly to the south in the future. I am keeping my fingers crossed that people will understand that it is under new ownership and management and hopefully this place can fill up quick. I might post pictures at some later date.
  12. Some people have already started moving in. Who has bought a place here that can tell us more about it?
