I know a lot of people hate the big blank wall, but I actually don't mind it. I think there are too many giant glass walls going up in cities and they all end up blending into each other. This building is basically surrounded by those kind of modern glass box buildings so I'm happy to see the monotony broken up. Also, that big wall would be a great choice for a giant mural some day.

What?? Place Bonaventure is iconic. I never want to see that torn down. I'd rather focus on building on empty/underutilized lots and preserving as many existing buildings as possible.

Maybe I'm missing something (I don't live in Canada - I just like to follow various urban planning forums), but isn't the REM being built on the other side of the train tracks than what's being shown in that rendering?
