  1. Loving these two towers and how they are going to transform our skyline!
  2. They went from 24% window wall ratio to 75% window wall ratio. This is 5 Manhattan west. We can do something similar with Place Bonadventure.
  3. And at some point, Place Bonadventure will be demolished! And there - the world's best skyline!
  4. Waiting for the flight tickets to go back to normal. I had to pay 5 x normal price to fly to NYC. But, def miss Montreal.
  5. Billionaires row is super insane. Pure insanity but it is beautiful. I moved back to NYC when they announced curfews are going back to 8pm here in Montreal. Here is a photo I took of the new supertalls in NYC. Untitled by Asok Thirunavukarasu, on Flickr
  6. Prime location! Put a glass atrium over the station - flushing the existing interior with beautiful natural light. Then plop a 250m, well designed tower and it will be transformative for the skyline. (Wishful thinking?)
  7. The Paris-Montreal tower !!! Drop it right in the middle of downtown!
  8. That was a great video! Here is a photo I snapped this morning on my walk. Montreal Skyline by Asok Thirunavukarasu, on Flickr
  9. ^ Great work - love how you put these photos together. Anyway - my last week in Montreal - everything is opening back up in New York City and so I am going to go back. Here was a photo of the Sunlife building - note, the lack of sunset because of the 8 pm curfew. Untitled by Asok Thirunavukarasu, on Flickr
  10. I worked on the conversion of the Grey Nun into student residence, when I was working on the project, the long term plan for the Greg Nun was consolidate the art department into it - but this was perhaps 10 years ago, so plans could have changed.
  11. Those are some great photos, Ti-Pierre - like your style very much. Last night in Montreal before we go back to an 8 pm curfew - went for a walk and took some photos. Untitled by Asok Thirunavukarasu, on Flickr Untitled by Asok Thirunavukarasu, on Flickr
  12. I was under the impression the fine arts department will eventually get consolidated in the Greg Nuns buildings.

  18. So nice to be able to go for a walk without worrying about getting home at 8 pm - the curfew is moved to 9:30 pm now. Here are some photos from this evening. 22. It was a bit rainy too - so I did not take a ton of photos on my walk. I did manage to take this photo of the Villa Maria Expressway - near Guy Concordia. Untitled by Asok Thirunavukarasu, on Flickr
  23. Modular Construction will help accelerate construction of affordable housing in the future. Note: French is my third language, so please excuse me if some of the text is a bit awkward - but, below is the description I wrote out to "Bâtiment Passif Québec," which promotes Passive House Standard in Quebec - this project is also a Passive House project. * Yesterday - we had given a talk on affordable Passive house buildings - we compared two of our buildings, traditional block and plank build vs. Modular. Here is the presentation: Additional information on Bethany Senior: In addition to the project being net-zero energy demand, and certified to PHIUS+ 2018 standard, we also want to re-define affordable housing by building a home that not only is energy efficient, and have superior indoor air quality - but also one that allows families to thrive. So, a key concept was providing a lot of garden spaces as well as common spaces. Feel free to reach out if you want to discuss more about Passive House or Modular project.
