  1. Our biggest problem causing traffic nightmares is always at the intersection of two highways. We have the most primitive and most inefficient connectors. .
  2. This would have been the perfect place to have tried the heated sidewalks, streets, and square.
  3. People drive long distances to Mirabel outlets (so-so retailers), Saint Sauveur, etc,... They'll find a way.
  4. I will disagree as their partner is a French group that controls very high-end retailers which will distinguish Royalmount from all the other malls out there. The residential component and enormous change to roads will just make it even better.
  5. This would be perfect for Phase 2 (Ginza Tokyo)
  6. I could see something like this on many blind concrete walls especially west of guy street.
  7. I am surprised that the Eaton Ctre office building has not been replaced by an iconic much taller building. Location wise - does not get better than this.
  8. Can't wait to see a 200 meter building hide Place Bonaventure.
  9. It should be similar in concept as the apple store on 5th in nyc.
  10. Question: would a baseball stadium fit between Lucien lallier, guy, and over the rail tracks and the 720 all the way to st Jacques?
  11. Not impressed. If they really want to do something with rail - max time Montreal Toronto 2 to 2.5 hrs; Montreal Ottawa or Qc City 1 to 1.5 hrs:
  12. Not at all. I don`t disagree with you that it can be taller - MOST IMPORTANT is what happens at floor level. I will accept 19 floors but WOULD NOT ACCEPT poor integration at street level.
  13. On this site, more important than height, is activity at street level
  14. We should let the people at the botanical gardens take care of our major arteries - RL, RB, Sherbrooke, deMaisonneuve, etc….
  15. Concordia needs to do something with the library. A competition with an original audacious skin could change the whole area.
  16. Amazing project - love the mix. I could see a project similar to this around Lionel Groulx, Atwater market.
  17. Currently at Pl Frontenac: Daycare, Covid clinic, Portage
  18. I am surprised it doesn't have a residence component as it's across the largest medical center in the province.
  19. It’s very feasible if instead of a RL route they choose a southern route (st Antoine, Notre dame, de la commune)
  20. The difference is that in China in just 2 years there would be dozens of high rises around that metro site.
  21. Another suggestion: 1- make Honore Beaugrand station (green line) the terminus for REM from PAT 2- extend blue line from Anjou to Honoré Beaugrand 3-make l’Assomption terminus for REM from Mtl Nord 4- tramway along Sherbrooke starting at Honoré Beaugrand thru L’Assomption and then veer north to Notre Dame and on Notre Dame all the way to René Lévesque to end at Atwater or veer left on Atwater to end at Lionel Groulx. This provides maximum connectivity, provides more choices to REM passengers and does not scar our city. Also, the tram can be expanded in the future from Lionel Groulx westward to Lachine.
  22. This would be a phenomenal to develop in the area between the Atwater market, Atwater street, and Lionel Groulx metro station.
  23. The solution is to use one of the lanes of the Ville Marie tunnel for the downtown portion.
  24. It's too bad the Parma Café building is still there. It would have made for a spectacular lobby or common area at this corner.
  25. We just recently got rid of a huge scar that was the Bonaventure Expressway and what an improvement that was. Let's not add a scar on RL.
