    In addition to the decontamination costs, which are getting more expensive every year as the MELCCFP introduces stricter standards and traceability, many lots are not properly serviced and/or do not have the infrastructure in place for ease of access. Decontamination is just one piece of the puzzle… Also, to put the $200M number in perspective, that’s enough to decontaminate 2 (maybe 3) of the large parcels that are currently on the market. Almost no one benefitted from the first $100M… except the city of Montreal-East.
