Je suis moi-même surpris/sceptique car Sixty Hotel ne parle plus de Montréal depuis la première annonce en 2015. Mais c'est quand même Avison Young qui a fait le tweet, et qui a reçu un "like" d'un membre de l'équipe du maire... à suivre. Edit: ouain, après avoir relu son twitter, c'est peut-être plus un fan-fan de la maire qu'un membre de son équipe ?

Une fois terminé, l'édifice complètement rénové sera un hôtel de la bannière Sixty (@SIXTYhotels) de 24 étages. Cette fois-ci, c’est la fin de la fabrication des chevêtres. Ces énormes pièces d’acier ont été rendues célèbres par leur forme en W. La fabrication s’est échelonnée de juin 2016 à juin 2018. Au total, 37 chevêtres ont été fabriqués par trois entreprises espagnoles : Megusa, Tecade et Dizmar. En tout, c’est plus de 30 000 tonnes métriques d’acier qui a été usinées. Les chevêtres sont installés au sommet des piles. Ils répartissent la charge entre la superstructure et son tablier, et les piles. En tout, c’est plus de 2,8 kilomètres de structures d’acier réalisés par ces entreprises québécoises, pour un total de 44 000 tonnes métriques. Il s’agit du plus important contrat de sous-traitance attribué dans le cadre du projet de corridor du nouveau pont Champlain. La fin de la fabrication des poutres-caissons marque une étape cruciale du projet.
