Haven't been to Costco in a while. What's with the concrete blocks and police cars?
Such a handsome building. Shame it's been left to rot.

Absolutely disgusting

With the latest midrise topped out, is this projet global more or less done? What's next here?
Edit: okay I found this. I guess the four (five?) unnamed buildings on the left are missing?

I just called the police - obviously, 311 does not work on a holiday weekend - they all live in the burbs or Villeray with Valerie.
we can start to say goodbye to the Fairy Land bldg
Thank you for your service, I would have called 911 too
I can only hope adding actual residents to the area will increase this kind of vigilance
BTW not a huge fan of them overall, but this is something that journal de Montréal would report on (probably as a larger piece about our abandoned heritage buildings that are likely to be set on fire by our beloved squatters)

I'm personally no longer taking my kids with me on the metro.

Sorry where does it say they were abandoned?

They're halfway there. Lots of steel beams to extract. Can't just blow this up.

Do you have have any proof / stats about this voting divide? I am inclined to believe you, but I'm curious.
I was happy with Parenteau as a mayor. He personally replied to all my emails about bad neighbors, snow removal and architectural concerns for new constructions. He took action or sent an aide to meet me. He also happens to be a verdun history nerd, frequently posting old photos or commenting on them.
Mauger never replied to me for some extremely simple concerns. None of her conseillers ever helped either. They asked for a 311 case number and never followed up.
But do you seriously think they can be 'voted out'? Coderre had less than second rate candidates last time, and every other party was fringe.
As far as Quebec solidaire representing us provincially this time, I don't believe this matters much either way. They're all useless and incompetent. I only slightly trust local officials and right now I have negative trust in project Montréal.

Absolutely no movement from the cranes today. I did see a few workers right now however.

The mere existence of this phase 2 in progress gives me such pleasure.
I'm with you. Phase twos are such a rarity here.

Local offer is a ton better these days anyway. Why would I go on crescent or st denis when I have messorem spitting distance. Lots of great pubs in Verdun nowadays too.
