  1. I agree. I won't go into the idea of a longer path, which would be a wonderful thing in the long term. But if we stick to the Linear Park plan, a bike path should be planned right now, so that it does not criss-cross with paths meant for pedestrians and so that it can be planned without strange curves that send the cyclists directly into traffic. For starters, such a path could go past the park on De la Commune and turn North on to Amherst street. For now, cyclists who need to go North have to go up Berri - which is not only crowded in the mornings but represents a big climb. An extension of the path (at least) until Amherst would allow to distribute some of the traffic flow. (Amherst also happens to be the last place allowing to cross over the Ville Marie expressway for a while.)
