I'm not in gaming, but downtown mtl similarly high tech (AI) and we've lost about 50 due to layoffs since January.

Layoffs in gaming, tech, A.I, other sectors + Bill 96 + the government attacking international and ROC students + a sluggish economy, a housing crisis, crime is spiking again this year.

 

Montreal has essentially been set back about a decade. Started with the covid lockdowns, it has cascaded since, so 4 years of slowdowns on top of everything that is happening with our "leaders" in power. I don't see this city properly recovering until 2030 and I'm even considering leaving. Nothing is happening here anymore, other cities are outperforming us. We need a shake-up asap.

On se casse la tete a faire chi.. les anglos  Pourquoi au juste?  De la petite politique pour gagner des votes. Ca pas l'air de fonctionner la CAQ est en chute libre.

J'aimerais bien Miami, j'ai deux amis montréalais qui sont rendus là depuis un bout et il ne jure que de cette ville. Mais bon....
