Cool.  Thanks for this pic.  It's amazing to see how they have continually updated the configuration of the departures level of the crusty old central terminal building; they really opened it up.   Now if they could get on with the reclad of the exterior, that would go a long way to improve the image of YUL - especially for Montrealers... but I fear that won't happen until they work on the ramp and parking structure and add pedestrian bridges.

The area next to the new AC check in section is the next and final step for the reconfiguration of the departure level. Finally, Lufthansa, Swiss and others will get a modern check in area.

The reclad will happen once all interior work is done on all floors of the building. Apparently the way its build its easier for the to do all the interiors renos of the office building part and then the exterior.

They are also redoing the security section where you have to go through security ....

I like the customs area, all the electronic kiosks. Don't need to spend so much time in line.

They REALLY need to address the domestic baggage claim area.  It has a distinctly third world banana republic airport feel to it....
