What is this housing type called? Why don't we build like this in Montreal?

(This is my first post here, so please forgive me if I have mis-placed this)

Hello, I have two questions:

1. What is this typology of danish housing called? I am trying to find plans and sections of one of these types of buildings with +/- 6 levels and an inner courtyard, but I do not know the search words so I cannot find what they look like inside and how they are built.

2. Why we do not build this kind of housing in Montréal? 6 stories with an inner courtyard?
