I was wondering about the delivery date too but the sales representatives (Yohan and Emily both super nice) insisted it’s in spring-summer 2020 so we’ll see.

Doesn’t bother us though since there will be construction going on anyway after the first phase is delivered.

Some family member bought a condo. They said spring 2021. Now the member got a text saying summer 2022...

I was there tonight at their sales office, they still don't have concrete information as to when they're going to deliver. What they do know is that excavation starts this spring, so we wait and see.

C'est la nature même de l'industrie de devoir se plier à une foule d'impondérables. Entendu que chaque étape de construction fait souvent appel à un contrat différent et à de nouvelles entreprises sous-traitantes. Le contracteur est aussi soumis à la disponibilité des matériaux, tout autant qu'à des difficultés de toutes sortes qui peuvent survenir en cours de route.

Ce qui confirme que les constructeurs sérieux n'avanceront jamais plus qu'une estimation approximative de la fin d'un chantier. Bien sûr elle pourra se préciser à mesure de l'avancement des travaux. Mais il se gardera toujours une marge de manoeuvre pour se protéger contre les imprévus et d'éventuelles poursuites de clients impatients.

The developer has not chosen the general contractor yet. They are still going through the bidding process.

What I heard was that they originally planned 2 blocks of townhouses to sale but eventually opened up 4 blocks and will deliver all 4 blocks at the same time in 2021 with the condos instead of in 2020 before the condos.

This is exactly what happened.

I saw it happening live, they were planning to sell only 2 town house blocks but they opened up 4 blocks instead due to demand.

People freaking out "red flags" or "signs" don't have the compete picture. This happens all the time when the project is this early in the process.
