Why is 06R/24L closed?

General maintenance. Crack filling, cement work, rubber removal, painting, electrical, etc....

As of next month, runway 10/28 will be closed for most of the summer, since they will be adding a remote parking for 7 heavies north of runway 28, in between taxiways E and B2.

They are making sure 24R and 24L are good to go for the duration of that project.

Is it confirmed somewhere? I talked to a friend working on site at Dorval and she's not aware.

She's not aware of what? The new parking they will be building north of runway 28, or all the work being done on the 24s? Either way, she doesn't seem to be in the loop as to what is going on airside. Just because someone works in the airport terminal doesn't mean they know what is going on on the runways and aprons.

They finished all the work on runway 24L. They are currently working on runway 24R til April 30th.

The NOTAM is already out for runway 10/28 closure for the summer. It's closed from May 2 til August 2.
