YUL - Nouveau terminal

I think we may have given Air Canada and other star alliance members an incredible future at YUL........this opens the door for further service expansion and possibly a few more banks for Hub purposes.  I visit multiple cities in North America and few around the globe........successful cities have understood the importance of their airport being the economic engine of their respective urban centers.  I honestly believe, in my own humble opinion, that you can judge the status of city by it`s airport.  Wonderful news for our city.  I would not pay to much attention to left wing socialists.....when a left wing complains, I always ask myself one question..........what`s in it for them.

I love this project. For years I was hoping that YUL would get an exterior upgrade to go along with all the interior changes. And then this project is announced. Very good news for the city. But what I love about this project, is the inclusion of the REM in the renderings, suggesting that the fix really is in.  The powers that be have made up their minds, and that no matter what, the REM will be built as advertised!

You've got this wrong: It's the city that is the economic engine for the airport, not the other way around. For when the economy of a city is doing well so is its airport. However, if you don't expand your airport to boost the local economy you certainly want to do so when the economy is doing well.

That's exactly what's happening to Montréal right now: The economy is doing well and therefore the airport is expanding. Only a few days ago Montréal International published a study that placed our city among the most connected in the world, which is very good for the economy, and that is one of the reasons why the airport needs to expand:

Quel raccourci intellectuelle. Btw, get over les carrés rouges, ça fait 6 ans de ça.

5. T'as raison.

A city`s airport, is a key factor in the economic engine of the urban center.  I can assure you that.  In my business, based on the success of the airport, it is determining factor of how well the city is doing.  It is also, normally, one of the biggest employer of the city, direct and indirect.  Not sure why you are telling me I am wrong, but I respect your view and opinion.  Thank you for sharing the study, it was an interesting read.
