J'avais justement noté, la semaine dernière, qu'ils semblent ajouté un étage à cet immeuble de l'UQAM. C'est tant mieux car il n'est ni haut et ni beau !!!

The Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal this morning announced the consortium that will be charged with building the French-language superhospital.

 

Only one of two bidders for the $2.08-billion project was considered after the second consortium was disqualified for coming in over budget.

 

None of the winning partners, dubbed CHUM Collectif, are Quebec firms.

 

CHUM Collectif is made up of British, Spanish, American and French companies.

Funny enough with all the tall towers going up, this project (with only 17 floors)will probably have the most positive impact on the MTL skyline. It will get even better when the CHUM starts rising

 

Yes, it will definitely be better when we get rid of the chasm created by the highway trench. I hope something happens to Parc Viger, that monstrosity might rid itself of the concrete and become a city park worthy of the title. Then, hospital employees and vsitors could take advantage of some greenery.

Speaking of which, isn't it ironic that the last part of this highway that is not yet covered is the one directly north of our municipal civic center !! What a pity : most of the tourists using the Métro to get to the Vieux-Montréal and entering through the Champs-de-Mars have to first experience passing over the entrenched highway.
