L'autoroute 40 ouest a été complètement fermée à la circulation, lundi midi, après qu'un morceau de béton eut chuté d'un viaduc dans l'ouest de Montréal.

MONTREAL – Transport Quebec have confirmed that a section of Highway 40 West has been completely closed between Hymus Boulevard and the eastbound exit at Langelier/Champ d’Eau.

“No one has been hurt,” he noted.

At around 1 p.m., the 40 E at Hymus was also closed in order to allow trucks to exit the 40 W and was re-opened about 10 minutes later.

A vehicle at the site of the incident appears to have been damaged.

Motorists are being advised to take a detour via exit A 13 and to expect delays.

C'est triste mais la temperature n'aide vraiment pas nos infrastructures ces temps-ci. Les nids de poules à profusions et on est en plein hiver :$ Ca va mal

 

C'était plein de trous partout sur les boulevards de mon quartier... des vrais champs minés.

 

quand tu vois des photos comme celle-ci (LaPresse), ça fait un peu peur

Not to get all political, but shouldn't the priority of the current government be on fixing infrastructure instead of provoking intrafaith societal debates?

 

Unfortunately, the liberals didn't do a better job.

The problem is so deeply rooted that I have little hope of seeing improvement whichever government is in power.

I have seen estimates that said it would cost upwards to 13 Billion dollars to fix all the infrastructure in the city.

Add to this the corruption and the un-manageability of our government....

hopeless.
