Canderel was too busy with Toronto over the last decade with the DNA1,2,3 , the AURA (75 floors) College at Park etc.etc. They were where the money was to be made...we would do the same!! Don't forget they are working with Cadillac Fairview on TDC1, TDC2 and TDC3. So  they may be planning more projects in Montreal since this city is super hot. Canderel is really solid... so let's wait and watch....Westcliff is busy on Nun's Island. The lot downtown beside the ICAO headquarters is just the wrong developer with the wrong projects...Maybe they'll sell to Broccolini!!!

(Lorsque le navire était en reconfiguration il y a une décennie, je m'étais demandé si ce projet allait être le premier condo flottant de Montréal...)

Hiring seasoned project managers and sales teams would have provided them great ROIs in Mtl, rather than merely paying hefty taxes on empty lots... Unless that parking lot across from Philips Square is a gold mine that pays the taxes of both that land and the mythical Tour du QdS land?!  

Perhaps they are solid on TO's market (mixed-use Aura is a beauty both by day, or night with its lighting, BTW, and a rarely heard of story of a project of 2 towers 60 + 20 floors actually being stacked up). But they don't seem to be on top of things in terms of understanding the market here, nor getting organised to benefit from it. Hence this why so many forumers have a poor opinion of Canderel -- or Westcliffe for that matter! 

It's as if they didn't even know yet that the market is also flaring here, whereas their competitors do know... and have been raking millions for almost a decade!

And seriously, if they were too busy with TO, then why even bother to launch projects here? An assertion that raises more doubts...

Are you seriously arguing that Canderel is failing their condo market in Montreal ? Canderel who is responsible for not one but three 50-storeys condo towers success in Montreal so far ? Looks to me like they know very well what they’re doing.

Come on, let's be honest here. Canderel is NOT responsible for the 3 Canadiens towers. Cadillac Fairview is the source of those towers, Canderel is just a partner.

This just emphasises that Canderel needs help executing their projects for them to take off (at least in Montreal).

Um, Canderel... is actually involved in all of Cadillac Fairview's TdCs? (If so, why isn't this info shown in TdC2 & 3 thread headers?)

And what's their involvement: financing, sales, construction-technical, other?
