Well, if it wasn't for the Crystal showing how high the demand for new residential towers downtown was I'm not sure we would have all these nice new towers that overshadow it.

Say what you will, just saying that the perceived and real residential tower demand before and after crystal are quite different. I'm not convinced we would have had so many towers proposed at the same time if Crystal was not so successful. Maybe it is simply coincidental.

La Crystal a simplement été construit avant le boom montréalais que nous connaissons aujourd'hui.

Ce n'est pas le Crystal qui est responsable de ce boom.

 

Et si on parle du secteur autour du Centre Bell, la forte présence de terrain vague sur lesquels on pouvait construire une grande quantité d'unités (merci à la réglementation et ses changements récents) est beaucoup plus responsable de la multiplication des tours que le succès commercial d'un projet d'hôtel/condo. La proximité avec des gares et le Centre Bell également.

 

De plus, il y a des projets depuis 15 ans sur ces terrain (1300 RL + la tour de 50 étages, les Diamants, le CCE, etc.)

Il a simplement fallut que le boom nous atteigne (10 ans après Vancouver et Toronto).

 

Bref, ce n'était qu'une question de temps.

Les acheteurs du Crystal ont surement fait une bonne affaire.
