The Addition Elle on St-Catherine officially closes tomorrow. I went in to ask them what is happening with the empty lot down the street, they told me that negotiations fell through and that they will no longer be building anything there. 

I asked as well if they have plans for another downtown location, she said they should be opening up a new downtown store in Spring or Summer, but that the location is yet to be determined.

Les travaux de rénovations se poursuivent à l'intérieur du Faubourg Sainte Catherine, j'ai toujours un vague espoir d'y voir quelque chose s'y faire. Pour ce qui est de l'extérieur, Second Cup s'offre des rénovations majeures (qui paraissaient essentielles et encore plus suite à l'ouverture du Starbucks l'été passé). Plus loin se sont installés la pizzeria Bacaro et le BulkBarn. Ce sont deux locaux relativement grands. 

Il y a plusieurs mois maintenant s'est ouvert un nouveau restaurant de nouilles, le Badao, mieux agencé et plus moderne que la plupart des restaurants asiatiques de la rue. Juste à côté un autre restaurant de ramen dont j'oublie le nom (edit: Kumamoto), qui propose l'option de ''manger seul''*; un concept en vogue au Japon et en Chine dont on entend de plus en plus parler. 

En face vient d'ouvrir une nouvelle place de grillade portugaise, une chaîne je crois, rien de très excitant mais tout ça pour dire, 6 ouvertures en quelque mois et plus aucun local vacant sur cette portion de rue.
