  5. Projet qui aurait été à cheval sur l'avenue du Parc, juste au sud de des Pins. Sur la première image, en haut à droite, on voit l'hôpital Hôtel-Dieu. Sur cette même image, l'avenue du Parc va vers le nord et vers le sud, elle passe sous le projet. 3 photos.

Pepsi Cola s’est donné une toute nouvelle image à l’occasion de ses 75 ans et lance une vaste offensive publicitaire au Québec. La compagnie explique ce changement de stratégie commerciale par son désir de rehausser les ventes de sa division breuvages. «Tout cela s'inscrit dans une stratégie globale visant à rafraîchir une marque que les Québécois adorent depuis 75 ans», déclare Sylvain Charbonneau, vice-président et directeur général du groupe d'embouteillage Pepsi. Outre le nouveau look, Pepsico lance une nouvelle campagne marketing élaborée au Québec. Cette dernière vise à relier le produit à des «esprits positifs aux vues similaires», peut-on lire dans un communiqué. La campagne du géant sera multiplateforme (télévision, panneaux publicitaires, transports en commun, Internet, médias sociaux, magasins et commandites d’événements à l'échelle du Québec). «La stratégie repose sur le principe suivant : une canette ou une bouteille de Pepsi, de par sa nature, est de la joie en bouteille. J'ai aussi vu des exemples de vidéos avec la nouvelle fonction et c'est assez impressionnant. Le boîtier seul est 1119$ apparemment chez Lozeau.

EOS Integrated Cleaning System The EOS Integrated Cleaning System combats sensor dust in three important ways: Reduce, Repel and Remove. Reduce - Internal camera mechanisms are designed to minimise dust generation. The redesigned body cap prevents dust generation through wear on the cap itself. Repel - Anti-static technologies, including a special fluorine coating, are applied to the low-pass filter covering the front of the sensor so as not to attract dust. Remove - A Self-Cleaning Sensor Unit uses hi-frequency vibrations to shake dust from the infrared filter for a period of approximately one second after each start up. For instant shooting after power up, this feature is disabled immediately the shutter release is depressed. Canon has also developed an internal Dust Delete Data system, which can map the position of visible dust on the sensor. This can then be deleted automatically after the shoot with the latest Digital Photo Professional software. Picture Style Picture Style pre-sets simplify in-camera control over image qualities. Picture Style pre-sets can be likened to different film types – each one offering a different colour response. Within each selectable pre-set, photographers have control over sharpness, contrast, colour tone and saturation. The camera’s factory default configuration is set to deliver immediately-usable JPEG images without need for additional menu settings. Picture Style presets applied to a RAW image can be revised with Canon’s Digital Photo Professional software. The six pre-sets are: Standard – for crisp, vivid images that don’t require post-processing Portrait – optimises colour tone and saturation and weakens sharpening to achieve attractive skin tones Landscape – for punchier greens and blues with stronger sharpening to give a crisp edge to mountain, tree and building outlines Neutral – ideal for post-processing Faithful – adjusts colour to match the subject colour when shot under a colour temperature of 5200K Monochrome – for black and white shooting with a range of filter effects (yellow, orange, red and green) and toning effects (sepia, blue, purple and green). Software Digital Photo Professional Software Digital Photo Professional software provides high speed, high quality processing of lossless RAW images. Processing with Digital Photo Professional allows real-time display and immediate application of image adjustments, giving control over RAW image variables such as white balance, dynamic range, exposure compensation, noise reduction and colour tone – plus the ability to view Auto Focus points on an image. The Lens Aberration correction tool allows precise correction of different types of distortion caused by certain cameras. Images can be recorded in camera with sRGB or Adobe RGB colour space. Digital Photo Professional supports sRGB, Adobe RGB, ColorMatch RGB, Apple RGB and Wide Gamut RGB colour spaces. ICC (International Colour Consortium) profiles can be attached to TIFF or JPEG images when converted from RAW. This allows faithful reproduction of colours in software applications that support ICC profiles, such as Adobe Photoshop. For improved efficiency, a set of image adjustments can be saved as a recipe and applied. EOS Utility The latest version of EOS Utility provides essential support for Live View remote shooting, camera configuration and image transfers. Tightly integrated with Digital Photo Professional, EOS Utility can be configured to monitor ‘hot’ folders, automatically renaming and moving incoming images to a structured file system. Picture Style Editor Picture Style Editor allows users to create individual Picture Styles that fit with their personal requirements. Each Picture Style contains detailed information on how specific colours should be represented within an image. Once new Picture Styles have been created, they can be uploaded directly into the camera and applied to JPEG or RAW images. Sure, you could save pictures one at a time the old fashioned way by hitting print screen and pasting the image into an editor or using a screen capture program. But PDF Image Extract saves you a lot of time if you want to save multiple images because it will save every single image in a PDF file for you. In fact, you can create batch jobs to save images from multiple documents. The only down side? I'm not kidding when I say PDF Image Extract saves every image. You'll likely wind up with a folder containing hundreds of images, only a few of which are the ones you were looking for. Greater precision, more control Canon has redesigned its auto focus system to include 19 cross-type sensors with sensitivity up to f/2.8, spread out across the AF area to better accommodate off-centre subjects. An additional 26 AF assist points are used to aid AF tracking for improved accuracy. Responding to professional photographer requests, a dedicated AF button on the back of the camera allows users to instantly switch auto focus on or off while keeping their eye on the viewfinder. The viewfinder is now brighter and offers a wider angle of view. The camera’s new 63-zone metering system gives photographers greater level of control over exposure. New LCD with Live View The bright 3.0” LCD monitor provides 230K pixels resolution for precise framing and reviewing of shots. New to EOS, Live View mode enables photographers to frame without having to look through the viewfinder – particularly useful for shooting from awkward positions. The menu system on the EOS-1D Mark III has been completely redesigned to take advantage of the LCD size – menus are easier to read and use. A choice of 57 custom functions gives photographers more options for customising camera settings to their daily working requirements. A new My Menu option allows photographers to store frequently used settings on a separate menu for faster access. Settings for new accessories such as the Speedlite 580EX II and Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E2 – also released today – can be controlled directly from the LCD. Total reliability The EOS-1D Mark III incorporates a range of practical enhancements for the working photographer. Shutter durability has been increased by 50% to 300,000 cycles. The body is protected by a magnesium alloy casing with dust and moisture resistant seals. The EOS Integrated Cleaning System provides further reliability by reducing sensor dust, minimising the need for manual cleaning on assignment. To avoid corruption of captured images, a warning appears on the LCD and an alarm sounds if the memory card door is opened while images are still being written. Interfaces include video out (for display in both NTSC and PAL formats) and USB 2.0. Compatibility and accessories Canon is marking today’s launch with the release of several additions to the professional EOS system: EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM – A fast, ultra wide-angle zoom lens delivering exceptional image quality throughout the aperture range. Speedlite 580EX II – An update of the Speedlite 580EX that offers weather resistance when attached to the EOS-1D Mark III. Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E2 – Smaller, lighter and more versatile than its predecessor, the WFT-E2 speeds up workflows by allowing photographers to transmit images wirelessly during the shoot. Original Data Security Kit OSK-E3 – Verifies the authenticity of images taken with the camera and supports image encryption for additional security. Software The EOS-1D Mark III is supplied with a comprehensive software suite to help the photographer’s workflow. This includes Digital Photo Professional (DPP), a powerful RAW converter that provides complete RAW image processing control. DPP integrates with cameras features such as the Dust Delete Data and Picture Style. The camera also comes with EOS Utility, ImageBrowser/Zoom Browser and Photostitch.

Jeudi 29 Novembre 2007 Un sondage réalisé par Léger Marketing pour le compte de la Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal révèle que 83 % des résidants du Grand Montréal sont fiers de leur région. De même, 91 % d'entre eux estiment que la région a une image positive à l'étranger. Lorsqu'interrogés sur les premiers mots qui leur venaient en tête pour décrire le Grand Montréal, les citoyens de la région ont parlé d'une grande ville (16 %) accueillante (18 %) et, surtout, cosmopolite (41 %). Selon eux, c'est ce même aspect cosmopolite qui constitue la plus grande force du Grand Montréal (29 %), suivi de sa culture (14 %), de sa gastronomie (12 %) et de son caractère chaleureux et accueillant (12 %). Dans l'ensemble, plus de 8 résidants sur 10 de la région métropolitaine se sont dits d'accord que les éléments suivants constituent des forces pour le Grand Montréal, notamment par rapport à d'autres grandes villes : la vie culturelle (92 %), le mélange des cultures américaine et européenne (88 %), la variété des activités de loisir (88 %), le multiculturalisme (88 %), l'ouverture d'esprit (86 %), le français (83 %) et le bilinguisme (82 %). " L'importance de doter Montréal d'une image de marque a été réitérée lors de l'événement Montréal, métropole culturelle - Rendez-vous novembre 2007, rappelle M. Massimo Iezzoni, directeur général de la CMM. Les deux premiers annonceurs à avoir utilisé ces panneaux géants sont Sony, pour promouvoir son nouveau téléviseur Bravia, et Tours Transat, pour célébrer son 20e anniversaire. "Notre plan de développement des affaires doit nous permettre de nous installer dans les principales villes du pays de manière à implanter cette nouvelle façon de faire en matière d'affichage extérieur en format géant. L’espace loué est devenu partiellement inutilisé, et on y vend des marchandises de moyenne à bas de gamme qui sont fréquemment en solde et qui projettent une image d’abandon et de détresse qui affecte l’image et la réputation du centre commercial, lit-on dans une poursuite déposée cette semaine en Cour supérieure par le Carrefour Laval contre Les Ailes de la Mode. Le Journal de Montréal précise qu'on ne fait pas qu’y réclamer l’éviction des Ailes, on exige aussi le paiement du loyer sur le bail venant à échéance en 2011, soit 3,5 M$. L’entreprise fondée en 1993 par Paul Delage-Roberge projetait, jusqu’à sa vente en août 2005, une image de raffinement. C’est dans cette optique que le Carrefour Laval avait loué en 1996 un local de près de 60 000 pieds carré aux Ailes. «Le locataire exploitera de façon active et continue et avec soin son entreprise dans la totalité des lieux d’une façon moderne, digne, et efficace, de façon compatible avec le mode d’exploitation des centres commerciaux de première qualité», stipule le bail venant à échéance en 2011. Réalité plutôt méconnue et mise au jour par cette poursuite, c’est le pourcentage des ventes des commerces que touchent les centres commerciaux, en plus de leur loyer. Carrefour Laval allègue que les ventes des Ailes ont chuté de 65% entre les années 2001-2002 et 2005-2006. Or, Les Ailes doivent verser 2 ou 4% de leurs ventes annuelles, selon leurs performances, au Carrefour. «Les Ailes se sont comportées de façon à ce que maintenant, il leur devient impossible de générer des profits suffisants pour payer le pourcentage dû au Carrefour Laval», accuse la poursuite.

" Cette volonté de doter le Grand Montréal de sa propre image de marque relève du besoin d'apporter davantage de cohérence au positionnement et aux efforts de promotion à l'international de la région ", de faire part Robert Charland, membre du comité exécutif de la Ville de Longueuil et président de la commission du développement économique, des équipements métropolitains et des finances de la CMM. L'image de marque qui sera retenue devra communiquer un message clair, homogène et distinctif pour tous les intervenants qui ont des activités à l'international. " Le positionnement et la promotion de la métropole montréalaise à l'étranger sont des enjeux qui touchent l'ensemble de la région métropolitaine ". d'ajouter Benoît Labonté, maire de l'arrondissement de Ville-Marie. Cette recherche d'une image distinctive durera un an. Durant cette période, la CMM recueillera les suggestions et les commentaires de la population, des élus municipaux et des intervenants socio-économiques et culturels de la région.
