    c'est un surnom adopté par les jeunes de la région de Sherbrooke pour décrire leur ville depuis longtemps déjà, parfois précédé par l'adjectif «dirty» mais presque toujours dit avec affection. Je gagerai qu'un promoteur ou un fils ou fille de promoteur soit diplomé de l'UdeS

    La règle veut qu'en principe on ne peut installer de fenêtres that look onto the neighbourhing property within 1.5m of the property limits. J'ignore si on a modifié le bornage pour faciliter la construction ou si un accommodement de nature d'une servitude est effectivement intervenu antérieurement entre proprios mais nonobstant ces possibilités the windows being blocked didn't confer any right to a view and could only function as long as the neighbouring lot stayed undeveloped or as long as the owner of the neighbouring lot didn't demand they be covered over.     I'd guess yes, giving way to a similar haut-de-gamme brand like Cartier or Bulgari probably. Even then, there's the example of Burberry with two boutiques one at either end of de la Montagne in Holt's and at Ogilvy's respectively. This however would be even more flagrant market cannibalisation since the two Tiffany's would be for all intents and purposes facing each other across the street.

    When the heritage crowd gets upset the promoters can respond that they're just restoring the Masonic Lodge to it's original vocation as an exclusive club that not everyone can expect to get into !

    Looking at google street view the renderings of these condos seem to take the existing building and graft another four floors on top. I'm surprised qu'on ne parle pas plutot d'une réconversion au lieu d'une démolition/reconstruction, but maybe it's a case where there are savings by using the same foundation as the present building, or alternately the present building may be so gutted that it amounts to a demolition, or maybe this is not the final rendering and by using the existing building as inspiration the developers save some money on artist fees No clue what standard practice would be, first post, beau forum guys.
