  1. I couldn't agree more - i live on Rioux facing St Ann Park, I never really hear the EXO and VIA trains but the noise the REM trains have been making today is unbelievable, i'm not sure if it's amplified from bouncing off the buildings around the park or not, but whatever it is, its definitely a giant step down in quality of life. When my windows are closed i can only hear it faintly, but with my windows open or out on my balcony it's really unpleasant. I hope the REM noise levels today is just due to running high speed tests and that this won't be the normal operating sound once it's opened, otherwise i won't be able to use my balcony or open my windows without hearing that noise for a minimum of 24, and up to 48 times per hour, 20 hours a day 7 days a week. I've been reading MTLURB for about 5 years and i really enjoy the pictures and reading posts from the frequent contributors on this site, sorry if my first post comes across as whiny.
