  1. La grue monte!! Photo pris aujourd’hui
  2. I hope it’s the 4 story brick building on the corner of St-Alexandre. It’s looking more and more out of place in the area.
  3. Second crane going up today (Aug 28)
  4. Photo taken a few days ago. The crane has now been removed from the building.
  5. October 28. All those beautiful old trees are gone. Such a shame
  6. October 20. The wall is coming down!
  7. They started cladding the bridge, but it’s the same panels as the rest of the tower. I was really looking forward to the white windows. I wonder what happened.
  8. Nope! I took them at around 5:10 pm today
  9. I think this one can be moved to under construction
  10. Some development today: several of the trees along de la Gauchetière were cut down. Their website also lists the start of construction as summer 2019, so I’m thinking after the construction holiday this one will start up.
  11. On the scaffolding at the base, they're advertising that it'll be finished in May. With a schedule that aggressive I have to anticipate the worst case scenario.
  12. It's a little hard to tell, but from the webcam it looks like the windows on the south side are different than those on Bleury
  13. Even got the white square in for what I thought was for a QR code that never got added. Well done!
  14. New view from the Humaniti webcam.
  15. Jan 9. Removing the exterior work elevator.
  16. a thousand condo units?? wow that's huge. Gotta be 2 towers then, right?
  17. Do we have a thread for this project? I saw the other day that they're starting to remove all the cars from their show floor. Not sure if anyone has managed to dig up any info from the city or elsewhere on what this project could be.
  18. Kinda wish they did something about the sides; having that concrete wall facing Bleury is looking more and more out of place as the area gets developed, but I'm happy that at least we won't have such a large abandoned building downtown anymore.
  19. The temperature gradient between the warm interior of the concrete and the cool surface is problematic, but the main issue is how dry cold air is. This means that a lot more water is pulled out of the concrete than during warmer days. Both issues can be solved by covering the concrete+formwork in plastic (to create a mini greenhouse), but the colder (and dryer) it gets the harder it is to maintain.
  20. Today: Some work being done. They've closed off half the park and appear to be trying to preserve the trees.
  21. From the webcam this morning, looks like they're installing the top floor windows.
