  1. The Delts Sky Club at the new SLC is spacious and gorgeous as well. Worth checking out. As others have mentioned, the others have become sorry excuses for lounges.
  2. Yikes. I'll take the A220 over the EJets any day on anything over 2 hours.
  3. YUL-SFO is an incredibly long journey for an E195-E2. It essentially pushes the aircraft's range to its absolute limit.
  4. Great news, although I sort of wish one of the US carriers would open a lounge in the Transborder section. DL used to have a Sky Club in the old pre-2003 Transborder jetty and I believe American Airlines was going to open their own Admirals Club in the current Transborder jetty until the events 9/11 and the downturn in the airline industry that followed shelved those plans.
  5. Huge news! YUL has come a long way.
  6. Flying's still safer than driving cross-country, but the Boeing 737 Max has a track record of trouble, especially when stacked against other planes. I might hesitate to hop on a 737 Max again. Given the choice, it'd be at the bottom of my list for flights. I believe it's safe, but it seems to have more problems than other planes out there.
  7. Do we have any recent updates on the construction progress of the new terminal at Montreal Saint Hubert airport? Has anyone visited it lately and can share insights? Also, is there a progress report available? Have there been any new renderings released since the announcement last year? Additionally, have there been any photos released showcasing the construction and surrounding areas of the terminal?
  8. LOL you're funny. Not being fluent in French has no significant impact on operating a major international airline in a predominantly English-speaking country. Additionally, as he aptly expressed, the 13 years he lived in Montreal without needing to learn French reflects something important about Montreal—it's not solely a French-speaking city. Furthermore, your analogy, suggesting that employing a monolingual English speaker to head a Quebec-based national company is akin to appointing a skilled administrator without an engineering background to supervise the construction of a new bridge, is unrelated to the competence of an airline executive in managing an airline.
  9. I must say, the dining options at Montreal Trudeau Airport's US section leave much to be desired. Despite the airport's charm and efficiency, the array of dining choices falls short in this specific area. Travelers passing through this section often encounter limited options, predominantly fast-food chains and basic eateries offering standard fare. Unlike the diverse culinary experiences available in other sections of the airport, the Transborder section seems to lack variety and quality when it comes to dining. Visitors hoping for a taste of Montreal's renowned gastronomy or even a wider selection of healthier, culturally diverse, or locally-inspired dining choices are often disappointed. Expanding the dining options in the US section could significantly enhance travelers' experiences, offering a more memorable and enjoyable taste of Montreal before departing for their destinations. Introducing local specialties, upscale dining, or partnerships with renowned Montreal eateries could elevate the airport's culinary landscape and leave a lasting impression on travelers passing through this section.
  10. On that note, any updates on Air Canada Rouge's potential long-term strategies to reintroduce widebody aircraft into their fleet? Perhaps not solely for relaunching transatlantic routes, but possibly for flying to low-yield sun destinations? Considering the arrival of Air Canada's 787-10s in the near future, could there be a chance of transferring some A333s to Rouge for this purpose?
  11. How the heck are you able to see those lines and where they connect to? It's not very clear. In any case, without even seeing the map, EDI, BOD and perhaps other European markets like DSS, OPO and MRS would make sense.
  12. Considering the runway configuration at YUL, there is a compelling case for the construction of a midfield terminal, mirroring the models seen at ATL, DEN, and LHR. This redevelopment plan would entail the complete demolition of the existing terminal, followed by a fresh start. The envisioned design incorporates a pair of parallel concourses arranged perpendicular to the runways. Furthermore, the main terminal itself could be reconstructed either at its current location near the western edge of the airport property or positioned closer to the hangar area and de-icing bay.
  13. AUS and STL are very nice additions for YUL. Incredible how much transborder traffic has grown in recent years.
  14. When will Air Canada add YUL-AUS?
  15. Not going to lie, I've always appreciated TS's initiative in launching these less-sought-after flights. Good on them!
  16. Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is becoming a big African connecting hub.
  17. Yes they did. They chose Crystal City, VA.
  18. Awesome news for YUL. I'm sure SAN is next.
