Tres tres decevant If it's just the tunnel that's causing uncertainty then just run the branches up until Canora and have a shuttle from there down Cote des Neiges or something. Give people options, this is stupid, it doesn't take a genius to figure this kind of stuff out. They really don't care at all
  4. How does it work then? You're just going to say that's not how it works and nothing else?
  8. "The cost? A mere $10.4 billion, which is considerably lower than the ARTM's fully underground proposal in June 2023. That project would have cost at least $36 billion." And there it is. Let's completely ignore that for 10 billion we could have gotten an actual metro that went downtown. But for a MERE 10.4 billion we'll get a tramway that doesn't go downtown. Yay! Ground level on Maurice Duplessis in RDP? I dont see how. Some parts yes but some parts are way too tight and also residential. Ground level the whole way on Lacordaire? This is going to be a disaster. There's a reason why grade separation is preferred. "According to projections, one out of six passengers (17 per cent) would opt to leave their car in favor of this new public transport mode." LOL
  9. Seems like a case of "Look at this ridiculous 36 billion dollar project, is this what you really want?" NO, that's ridiculous! "Alright here's this 10 billion dollar project " I'm still wondering.. why is the ARTM still presenting projects. Isin't there supposed to be a new governmental division to take over these projects? What is going on with that? 10 billion for a tramway is a farce. A tramway as a means of bringing people in from the outskirts of Montreal is an absolute farce.
  12. They're lieing to our faces, what have they been doing since the government asked them to study it? After the REM de l'Est was cancelled. The Quebec tramway is just a recent project for them. We're supposed to believe they don't have top notch project managers analysts and engineers that didn't have any kind of planning and deliverables? They're using it as an excuse to pull out of a project they knew was going to be a giant waste of their time because of mayors and their ridiculous demands. At this point.. are they going to do the same in Quebec City? We can't cancel a project just because of whiney mayors, especially when they're virtually paying none of it. They can say the "government is taking over" all they want, but we all know what that means. And what is even happening with this new magical agency? Why did Legault replace swap Bonnardel and Guilbault? I'll never understand that cabinet change. My only ray of hope is this new agency will get the expertise from CDPQi but CDPQ will just not be investing in the projects. As well as they'll have the power they need to get these projects done, but my hopes are very low which makes me sad.
  13. The government is not going to build any of these projects. We're in a recession (or heading into one) and they'll never accept to build outrageous underground lines in suburbs like these lunatic mayors want. So we're going to end up with overpriced tramways that are NOT going to entice people to ditch their cars. This is what happens when you try to please everyone with this "acceptabilite sociale" garbage. Valerie Plante set a precedent with how she handled the REM de l'Est. Aerial trains are seen like the antichrist, even though other big cities have no issues with it. As if Taschereau boulevard wasn't already an eye-sore and the size of a highway. I don't blame the CDPQ from not wanting to waste any more time with these clown mayors.
  15. There definitely should be a station there. I'm happy some people are coming to their senses
